Educational tool, not financial advice.

  1. Not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice

Invest Wise Way provides educational tools, planning models, and information of a general nature about Canadian personal finance. Nothing on this site, in our AI dispatches, in our calculators, in our blog, or in any communication from us constitutes financial, tax, legal, accounting, insurance, or investment advice for your particular situation.
  2. No advisor relationship

Using the Service does not create an advisor, broker, fiduciary, agent, or client relationship between you and Invest Wise Way. We are not a registered investment dealer, IIROC member, mutual fund dealer, exempt market dealer, portfolio manager, scholarship plan dealer, restricted dealer, or any other category of registrant under Canadian securities law. We are not a registered tax adviser, accountant, lawyer, insurance broker, or mortgage broker.
  3. Verify before acting

Tax brackets, contribution limits, benefit thresholds, and government rules change. Calculator outputs, AI dispatches, and projections may contain errors, may be outdated, or may not apply to your situation. You are solely responsible for verifying any figure, table, or recommendation before acting on it. Consult a qualified professional (CFP, CPA, lawyer, registered advisor) for advice specific to you.
  4. AI outputs are not authoritative

Our AI dispatches are generated by large language models trained on general data. They can produce plausible-sounding but factually wrong results (“hallucinations”). Treat AI dispatches as a research starting point, not a final answer. The disclaimers appended to AI output are not optional reading.
  5. Past performance does not predict future returns

Any historical figure (market returns, inflation rates, real estate appreciation) used in projections is for illustration only. Past performance is not an indicator of future results. Markets can and do produce extended periods of underperformance, including losses exceeding the worst historical drawdowns shown in our stress tests.
  6. Jurisdictional scope

The Service is built for Canadian residents using Canadian tax law and Canadian benefit programs (CRA, CPP, OAS, RRIF, RRSP, TFSA, FHSA, RESP, etc.). It is not designed for users outside Canada, US-tax-filers, dual-status taxpayers, non-resident Canadians, or anyone whose situation is governed primarily by non-Canadian law. If you fall into one of those categories, consult a cross-border specialist.
  7. No guarantee of outcomes

We make no warranty or guarantee that following any plan, scenario, or recommendation produced by the Service will lead to any specific financial outcome. Personal financial outcomes depend on countless variables outside our control (market performance, employment, health, life events, regulatory change). You bear all risk of acting on the Service's output.
  8. Third-party content + links

The Service may reference government documents, public-domain tax tables, or other third-party sources. We do our best to cite accurately. Any third-party trademarks, names, or logos remain the property of their respective owners; their mention is descriptive, not endorsement. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any government agency, financial institution, broker, or competitor product.
  9. Educational tools, retail audience

The Service is designed for retail (individual) household financial planning. It is not designed for institutional, corporate, fiduciary, or professional-advisor use. If you are a licensed professional using the Service to advise clients, you remain solely responsible for the suitability of any advice you give; we provide no warranty for professional use.
  10. Limitation of liability

See our Terms of Service for the full limitation-of-liability clause. In summary: we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability is capped at fees paid in the prior 12 months (or CAD $100 for free-tier users).
